Tom Aspinall has suggested that an announcement regarding his highly anticipated fight with Jon Jones is coming soon.
The unification fight for the heavyweight title, pitting the interim champion against the undisputed champion, has been in discussion since last November.

Jones, 37, initially sought a massive payout for the high-profile bout but has reportedly reached an agreement with UFC officials.
Earlier this month, Aspinall discussed the fight with UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell, suggesting that this significant fight in UK MMA history is close to being finalized.
During an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Aspinall mentioned their meeting: “We had a good meal and discussed everything.”
He added, “Hunter has always been very approachable and fair with me. I`m not sure about his interactions with others, but with me and my team, he has been nothing but welcoming and excellent.”
“We had a very productive meeting, everything went great.”
“I now understand my position, I understand the company`s direction, and you should stay tuned because there is significant news on the horizon.”
Aspinall`s remarks about his meeting with Campbell follow Dana White`s recent statement that the fight is “done”.

White told TNT Sports, “It’s going to happen. It’s done, but it’s not fully finalized.”
“It`s not quite ready to be announced with a date yet.”
“But the fight is happening. It’s just a matter of getting the contracts signed.”
“If we can finalize this and announce it, leading up to it, this will be the biggest heavyweight fight in UFC history.”
Jones, a Hall of Famer, last fought in November at UFC 309, defending his undisputed title with a knockout victory over Stipe Miocic.
Aspinall`s last fight was in July at UFC 304 in Manchester, where he defeated Curtis Blaydes in 60 seconds to defend his interim title.
