‘Brawler’: Zack Snyder to Direct New UFC Movie

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is getting a Hollywood makeover thanks to a top-tier director.

A new film project has been announced, focusing on the challenging path to the top of the mixed martial arts world`s leading organization.

Critically acclaimed director Zack Snyder will direct it, supported by Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia`s General Entertainment Authority.

`Brawler` will tell the story of a young, promising fighter from the tough streets of Los Angeles who gets a shot at UFC stardom while battling personal struggles.

UFC CEO and President Dana White commented on the film, stating that Turki Alalshikh and Zack Snyder share a vision for a UFC movie.

He added that both are very enthusiastic about showing fans what it takes to become a UFC champion.

“It’s a very ambitious project, and I’m excited to see it become a reality,” White said.

Snyder, known for directing hits like 300 and Justice League, said, “Every great fighter has a backstory of how they reached their position.”

“UFC is the premier combat sports organization globally, and I am honored to partner with them to share this incredible story,” Snyder stated.

Alalshikh, who recently announced TKO Boxing with Dana White, has been hinting at a UFC movie with Snyder for a while.

He expressed his excitement that the project is finally moving forward, saying, “I’ve admired Zack’s work for years.”

“His distinctive style, from iconic action scenes to impressive visuals and deeply emotional narratives, along with his humanized depiction of flawed characters, is unique.”

“I couldn’t imagine a better partner to bring the UFC to the big screen,” Alalshikh concluded.

The cast for the movie, which currently lacks a release date, is still unknown.

It is expected that Snyder and his Stone Quarry production company will film scenes for the movie during live UFC events.

The producers of the 2024 `Roadhouse` remake, starring former UFC champion Conor McGregor, filmed a fight scene at UFC 285 in Las Vegas in March 2023.

Attendees were surprised when Jake Gyllenhaal performed a full octagon walk and sparred with former UFC fighter Jey Hieron.
