CEV Initiates Bidding for Champions League Finals

`Volleyball

Shortly after the successful conclusion of the 2025 CEV Champions League Volley finals held in Istanbul and Łódź, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has officially opened the bidding process for the final events of the 2026, 2027, and 2028 seasons.

To guide interested parties, a comprehensive document has been prepared detailing background information, all requirements, and deadlines for submitting a proposal to host these major Volleyball spectacles. The CEV strongly encourages all interested National Federations and clubs to review this information carefully and to develop their plans – in close collaboration with city and national authorities – to turn this exceptional hosting opportunity into reality. This is presented as a chance to deliver an event that could be historically significant and further elevate the sport.

In a significant step for European Volleyball, this is the first time the bidding process for the Champions League finals has been initiated so far in advance. The main goal is to secure agreements with iconic host cities as early as possible, enabling a compelling storyline to be built and promoted throughout the lead-up to each season.

Meanwhile, registration for participation in the 2026 CEV European Cups is currently open. The official Drawing of Lots for all stages across the three continental competitions is scheduled to take place on July 15.

Relevant documents containing the guidelines and requirements are available.

For any inquiries or to seek further clarification, interested parties are invited to contact the CEV via email at [email protected].
