Knockout Tournament Format
The Chessable Masters Grand Final is a high-stakes knockout tournament. Sixteen players are participating: eight invited players and eight who advanced from the Playoffs. They are competing for significant prize money and crucial CCT Points, which can qualify them for a spot at the prestigious Esports World Cup.
- Eight invited players are participating alongside eight playoff qualifiers.
- The tournament uses a double-elimination bracket system.
- Winners Bracket matches consist of four games.
- Losers Bracket matches are shorter, with two games per match.
- The Grand Final itself is a four-game match.
- A Grand Final Reset, if needed, is played as a two-game match.
- In case of a tie in any match, a winner is decided by an Armageddon game. This is a bidding format with a base time of 10 minutes.
