The eighth iteration of Montenegro`s most popular youth sports initiative, the Mini Volleyball league, recently reached its successful conclusion. The final tournament took place last weekend at the Verde sports hall in Podgorica, marking a vibrant end to the season.

The final weekend was filled with excitement, featuring fourteen matches played by young boys and girls aged between nine and thirteen. The event culminated in joyful medal ceremonies, ensuring every participant received recognition for their efforts.
Since the season kicked off in October 2024, participation records were surpassed. Nearly 900 boys and girls across 82 teams, representing 18 different clubs from Montenegro, gained invaluable experience in volleyball. Beyond skill development, they forged friendships and learned crucial lessons about sportsmanship and healthy competition.
The Mini Volleyball league is an initiative spearheaded by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, receiving support from the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). Its core mission is to foster the development and increase the popularity of volleyball across the Balkan nation.

Distinguished figures from Montenegrin volleyball were on hand to present the medals. Ksenija Božović, Director of the women’s national team programmes for the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, awarded medals to representatives from the clubs Morača, Net, Libero, Iskra, Budućnost, and Tempo. Melisa Cenović, senior national team libero, presented medals to players from Herceg Novi, Mediteran, Mrkojevići, Ulcinj, Ivangrad, and Barbana.
