Round 6
The European Championship is an 11-round Swiss tournament. The time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes until the end of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from the start.
A total of 375 players are participating, with Bogdan-Daniel Deac, Alexey Sarana, and Jorden van Foreest as the highest-rated players.
The tournament offers a total prize fund of €100,000, with €20,000 awarded to the winner. Crucially for elite players, the top 20 finishers will qualify for the FIDE World Cup, a key step towards the Candidates Tournament.

- Rounds 1-6: March 15-20
- Rest day: March 21
- Rounds 7-11*: March 21-25
