Round 1 Overview
The Austrian leg represents the sixth and final tournament within the current two-year FIDE Women`s Grand Prix series. This event holds significant importance as the top two participants across the entire series will earn qualification berths for the upcoming Women`s Candidates Tournament.
The competition is structured as a single round-robin featuring a field of 10 invited female players. The games are played under a classical time control: 90 minutes are allocated for the first 40 moves, followed by an additional 30 minutes to complete the game. A 30-second increment is also applied to each move, beginning from move one.
