The third week of the CE CEV EuroVolley Silver League Men 2025 brought crucial results and shifts in momentum as teams competed for position ahead of the decisive final week. With matches held in Sandur, Faroe Islands, and Kecskemét, Hungary, the week highlighted strong performances from Hungary and Austria. Sweden and Luxembourg maintained their positions in the top four standings, based on their earlier results.

In Sandur, the Faroe Islands hosted an eventful three-day tournament. The home team started with a tough 1:3 loss against Azerbaijan, who showed resilience after a difficult start to the competition. Austria then displayed their strength with a dominant 3:0 victory over Azerbaijan, keeping their aspirations for a final spot alive. The week concluded with Austria defeating the Faroe Islands 3:1, a result that kept Austria in contention and eliminated the hosts from the possibility of reaching the final.

Meanwhile, in Kecskemét, Hungary, the home side extended their undefeated streak. They swept Iceland 3–0 with sets of 25:11, 25:14, and 25:20, followed by a convincing straight-sets win over Georgia (25:9, 25:17, 25:16). Hungary’s consistent form, now standing at four wins from four matches, places them in an excellent position to challenge for a spot in the two-legged final scheduled for early July. Iceland managed to secure a victory against Georgia in a thrilling five-set match but are no longer in contention for the final.

Elsewhere, Sweden and Luxembourg, who did not compete this week, remain in strong positions. Sweden continues to lead the league with an impressive four wins from four matches without dropping a single set. Luxembourg`s earlier victories also keep them in the race for the finals, currently sitting in fourth place.

Sweden (4-0), Hungary (4-0), Austria (3-1), and Luxembourg (3-1) are the only teams remaining with a chance to qualify for the final.

With only one weekend of league play left, taking place in Tbilisi and Amstetten, the competition for the two final berths is intense. Hungary and Austria have built momentum, while Sweden remains undefeated and will face tough competition from the other two contenders in Amstetten. Luxembourg will be hoping for favourable results elsewhere while they play against Georgia and the Faroe Islands.
