Home favourites crowned Italy’s Snow Volleyball national champions in Plan de Corones

The final stage of the Italian Snow Volleyball Championship took place recently in Plan de Corones, a location renowned for hosting both national and international snow volleyball events. SSV Pallavolo Brunico partnered with the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV) to organize this concluding stop of the national tour, which had commenced in early February in Lorica, southern Italy.

In the women`s tournament, the youthful local team consisting of Anja and Lea Burgmann, Sarah Riva, and Julia Mairhofer emerged victorious. They defeated the more seasoned team of Cristiana Parenzan, Federica Tonon, and their Czech partner Anna Dostalova in a match where the home favourites displayed superior stamina and composure.

The men`s event saw a similar outcome, with local heroes Theo Hanni, Peter Seeber, Michael Burgmann, and Thomas Berger demonstrating exceptional form. They narrowly overcame Enrico Lupatelli, Michele Bennato, Gaetano Vespero, and Atef Adel in the final. This win solidifies their position as the top team in Italy and represents the third consecutive triumph for SSV Volleyball Brunico.
