Conor McGregor recently spent a highly eventful few days on the Spanish island of Ibiza.
The former UFC two-division champion, who hasn`t competed professionally in nearly four years, was seen enjoying the lively scene on the Balearic Island throughout the week.
His presence certainly made waves, often drawing headlines for negative reasons.
SunSport exclusively reported that `The Notorious` was involved in an incident where he struck a man in the VIP section of the famous Pacha nightclub early Tuesday morning.
The Irishman struck the other club patron twice. The man, later identified as a friend of O Beach owner Wayne Lineker, was then removed from the upscale club.
McGregor, 36, had a much less controversial start to his island break.
The former face of the UFC partied at Lineker`s celebrity hotspot O Beach on Monday, settling into the VVIP area.
The Dublin native was seen spending time with former glamour model Katie Price and Tottenham player Kevin Danso.
McGregor clearly relished the attention, puffing on what appeared to be an expensive cigar.
Ireland`s first and only UFC champion enjoyed a lively night out at Ushuaia in Playa d`en Bossa with his Black Forge Inn FC teammates on Tuesday.
He secured one of the best spots to watch Calvin Harris, who was performing one of his summer sets at the venue, entertain thousands of party-goers.
The party didn`t stop there for `Mystic Mac,` who took a short walk across the road to continue the fun at Hi Ibiza.
A few days later, the MMA superstar crossed paths with former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
The pair were pictured together.
For the past few days, McGregor has been staying on a luxury yacht docked in Ibiza Town.
On Friday, he was seen dancing on the deck of the vessel with his fiancée and mother of his four children, Dee Devlin, enjoying the view.
Controversial Punching Incident
Days after the incident, Wayne Lineker, brother of Gary Lineker and owner of O Beach, revealed the identity of the man punched by McGregor as Joe Gomez, a long-standing O Beach employee.
Lineker posted a strong defense of his employee on Instagram, in a post that has since been deleted, criticizing McGregor`s actions.
The post read: “Thought about this post a lot.
“This is my very close friend who has worked at Ocean for eight years, he has the most special heart and in all of the years that I’ve known him he has never raised his voice once.
“He took two punches from Conor McGregor in Pacha for absolutely no reason.
“Let me introduce you to Joe Gooomez (sic). He took the punches like a champion.
“I’ve since deleted my post of Conor at Ocean on Sunday. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.
“We at Ocean Beach Ibiza will always put our family first #wearefamily.”
McGregor has not competed in the UFC since July 2021, when he broke his leg during his third fight against Dustin Poirier.
His planned comeback fight last June against long-time rival Michael Chandler was cancelled when he withdrew from the Las Vegas bout due to a broken left pinky toe.
His future in the UFC remains uncertain; last November, he was found civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand at a Dublin hotel in 2018.
Despite this, the former fan favourite seems determined to return to the octagon.
