Experienced Coaching Duo Takes the Helm
Ramachandran Ramesh, celebrated globally as a top chess coach, brings his expertise to Italy. He is known for nurturing numerous successful players, including Aravindh, Hairkrishna, and Praggnanandhaa.
The Italian Chess Federation (Fedearazione Scacchistica Italiana) has officially named the accomplished Indian coach as the Technical Commissioner for their national team. This decision was finalized by the FSI Federal Council on March 4th.
R.B. Ramesh, a 48-year-old Grandmaster since 2003 and Commonwealth Champion in 2007, established a highly successful chess school in Chennai. He succeeds Loek van Wely in this prestigious role.

In addition to Ramesh, Mihail Marin has been appointed as the new Technical Commissioner for the Italian women`s national team, taking over from Roberto Mogranzini.
Grandmaster Marin from Romania is a respected figure in the chess community, recognized for his extensive publications and video tutorials. Fluent in Italian, English, German, and his native Romanian, Marin served as Judit Polgar`s second during the 2005 World Championship and later coached Daniele Vocaturo to his Grandmaster title.
