Leon Edwards is determined to prove he remains the premier fighter in the UFC welterweight category.
Nicknamed `Rocky`, Edwards will step back into the Octagon tonight at London`s O2 Arena. This marks his first fight since losing his 170lbs championship title last July. He`s set for a crucial match against American wrestler Sean Brady.

Edwards, 33, in his previous rematch with Belal Muhammad, appeared a shadow of the skilled southpaw who remained undefeated for nine years in the leading MMA organization.
He has now declared his intention to demonstrate to critics that he is still a dominant force.
The Brummie fighter stated, “I want to correct my mistakes in my performance.”
“I am aware that I am capable of a much better performance than what I showed in Manchester.”
“However, for me, this is more about rectifying my own performance than proving anything to others. I simply want to show the world exactly who I am.”
UFC officials have guaranteed Edwards a chance to regain the welterweight title if he defeats Brady, a submission expert.
However, the popular fighter acknowledges the need for a decisive victory to secure his opportunity to become a two-time champion.
He stated, “I need to emphatically end this fight.”
“And I must go out there and prove to the world that I am still the best.”

“To achieve that, I don`t believe a points victory will suffice. I believe only a finish will be enough.”
Brady, from Philadelphia, is expected to receive a hostile reception as he enters the arena.

However, the 32-year-old intends to use the boos to his advantage and secure the biggest victory of his career.
He said, “I`m from Philly, I`ve seen many teams come into hostile environments and get booed.”
“But once you are in the octagon, none of that matters. It`s just me and Leon in there.”
“None of the UK fans can step in and fight for him.”
“Once you are in the fight, you become deaf to the crowd noise.”
“I believe the hostile atmosphere will actually enhance my performance.”
