NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Wednesday Prop Bets

The second round of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs continues on Wednesday with one game scheduled in each conference. The defending champion Florida Panthers look to even their Eastern Conference series at one game apiece as they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs. Meanwhile, the Presidents` Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets host the Dallas Stars in the opener of their Western Conference showdown.

In Game 1 on Monday, Toronto held a three-goal lead entering the third period and managed to secure a 5-4 victory. However, the Maple Leafs lost starting goaltender Anthony Stolarz to an apparent head injury during the win and will now rely on Joseph Woll as they aim for a 2-0 series lead.

Both Winnipeg and Dallas executed remarkable third-period comebacks in Game 7 of their respective first-round series. Trailing by two goals, the Jets scored twice in the final 1:56 of regulation, tying the game with just 2.2 seconds remaining, before captain Adam Lowry netted the winner at 16:10 of the second overtime to defeat the St. Louis Blues 4-3.

A day earlier, Dallas scored four unanswered goals in the final 12:11 of the third period to erase a two-goal deficit and beat the Colorado Avalanche 4-2. Mikko Rantanen, who began the season with Colorado before being traded twice, played a key role in the comeback, scoring three of the Stars` goals and assisting on the other.

The Jets won three of the four regular-season meetings against Dallas in 2024-25, outscoring the Stars 13-5 across those games.

Here are some players offering value to consider when making prop bets for Wednesday`s playoff contests.

Best Bets

Sam Reinhart Anytime Goal Scorer (+180)

After recording a goal and an assist in Florida`s first-round series versus Tampa Bay, Reinhart has scored just once in his last five games. Facing Joseph Woll instead of former Panthers teammate Anthony Stolarz could potentially help him break out of this minor slump. The 29-year-old Reinhart has seen some success against the Maple Leafs, scoring twice in four meetings this past season and adding two more during Florida`s five-game victory over Toronto in the second round of the 2023 playoffs.

William Nylander 1+ Assist (+124)

While Nylander enters Wednesday having delivered back-to-back two-goal performances, the 29-year-old right winger has been even more proficient at setting up goals this postseason. Nylander has registered at least one assist in six of Toronto`s seven games and ranks among the league`s playoff leaders with seven helpers, surpassing his previous career high of six set in 2023.

Mikko Rantanen 2+ Points (+260)

Rantanen got off to a slow start in Dallas` first-round series against Colorado, managing only one assist over the initial four games. However, the 28-year-old Finnish right winger has been an unstoppable force since, concluding the series with a three-game point streak during which he accumulated five goals and six assists. Rantanen posted at least three points in each of those games and also recorded three multi-point efforts against the Jets last postseason while playing for the Avalanche. Considering Vezina Trophy finalist Connor Hellebuyck`s strong play for Winnipeg, it makes sense to back Rantanen while he`s hot.

Neal Pionk Over 0.5 Assists (+155)

Pionk was a significant offensive contributor for Winnipeg during their first-round loss to Vegas in the 2023 playoffs, tallying seven assists in five contests. The 29-year-old defenseman recorded just one assist in five games against Colorado last postseason and only one helper through the first six games of the Jets` first-round series against the St. Louis Blues. Pionk collected three assists in Game 7 and had two assists in three regular-season meetings with the Stars, making him a solid candidate for offensive involvement in Wednesday`s opener.
