Nidau Volley and Beachvolley Academy Bern victorious in Switzerland’s Beach Volleyball club premiere

Swiss Volley hosted its inaugural national beach volleyball competition on June 21-22. This event served as a qualifier for the preliminary phase of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup. The tournament, held in Kloten and Bessersdorf, was greatly enjoyed by players who appreciated the unique opportunity to represent their clubs rather than competing as individuals, a concept described as very innovative for Beach Volleyball.

The event took place under ideal weather conditions, and the participating teams delivered exciting, drama-filled matches. The competition format was well-received, and all participants expressed their satisfaction with the experience.

Nidau Volley claimed victory in the men`s competition, while the Beachvolley Academy Bern triumphed in the women`s event. Both teams have now qualified to represent Switzerland in the preliminary phase of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup 2025, which is scheduled for September.
