The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has returned with a revamped format for its tournaments.

Previously, fighters in each weight class competed in two regular-season fights, earning points based on their victories.

The top four fighters from each weight class would advance to the playoffs, consisting of semi-finals and finals, to determine the champion.

Winners in the past received a $1 million prize. However, this year, the format has been shortened to a three-fight tournament with a win-or-go-home structure from the very beginning.

The new format includes quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final, all held over five months. The tournament winner will now receive a $500,000 bonus.

The season starts on Thursday, April 3rd, in Orlando, Florida, featuring men`s welterweight and featherweight divisions.

Following this, on Friday, April 11th, the women`s flyweight and men`s bantamweight divisions will compete.

Friday, April 18th will showcase the men`s middleweight and lightweight divisions, and the first round will conclude on Thursday, May 1st, with men`s light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions.

The semi-finals are scheduled for June, and the finals will take place in August. A total of $20 million in prize money is up for grabs across the entire PFL season.
