The future stars of Balkan women`s volleyball gathered in Pljevlja, Montenegro, from June 19 to 23, 2025, for the annual U16 Balkan Championship. The tournament, hosted by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, showcased emerging talent and culminated in a clear hierarchy on the podium: Bulgaria claimed the gold, Türkiye secured the silver, and the host nation, Montenegro, earned a commendable bronze medal.
Bulgaria demonstrated exceptional form throughout the competition, navigating their schedule with a perfect record of four wins and zero losses. Their dominant performance left little doubt about their championship credentials. Türkiye proved to be the second strongest force, securing the silver medals after a solid showing.

For Montenegro, playing on home soil provided a significant boost. Their path to the bronze medal involved crucial victories against North Macedonia and Greece. Although they fell to the top two teams, Bulgaria and Türkiye, their two wins were sufficient to clinch third place, delighting the local supporters in Pljevlja.

Beyond the team results, several players were singled out for their outstanding individual contributions to the tournament:

It appears Bulgaria and Türkiye rather effectively collected the technical skill awards, leaving just one other notable prize for the hosts. The Fair Play Award was presented to Sara Striković from Montenegro, acknowledging her exemplary sportsmanship throughout the competition.
