Centuries of our history risk to disappear, if Islamisation gains the upper hand

Italian culture and society risk being eradicated by Islam, Northern League leader Matteo Salvini, said on Monday as he vowed to halt a migrant “invasion”.

We are under attack. Our culture, society, traditions and way of life are at risk

His comment to Reuters follow closely on the heels of prominent League politician Attilio Fontana who faced “criticism” from the Italian mainstream media for saying Italy’s “white race” could be wiped out unless stronger measures were taken to stop the importation of migrants who tend to be muslim and also African.

“We have to decide if our ethnicity, if our white race, if our society continues to exist or if our society will be rubbed out,” Fontana, who is running for governor of Lombardy, told Radio Padania.

Although Fontana is polling ahead of his rivals, in the face of intense media pressure, he later said it had been a “lapse”. However, party leader Matteo Salvini, whose popularity has risen strongly in recent years thanks to his anti-migrant stance, came to his defence.

“We are under attack. Our culture, society, traditions and way of life are at risk,” he said in a statement.
“The colour of one’s skin has nothing to do with it, but the risk is very real. Centuries of history risk disappearing if Islamisation, which up until now has been underestimated, gains the upper hand,” Salvini added.

Immigration has become a major campaign issue for the March 4th national elections; centre-right opposition parties are accusing the centre-left government of having done little to stop the influx of mostly economic migrants while all of Italy’s mainstream parties have called for tougher restrictions on migration.

The government has even tried enlisting the help of Libya in a bid to end people smuggling. Last year migrant arrivals to Italy by sea fell by a third.

I imagine it is too late, this is what the EU has wanted and now the people will pay the price.
