Day 1 – Rapid
The SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia tournament represents the third stage of the 2025 Grand Chess Tour. This competition includes both rapid and blitz chess events.
The rapid portion will be held as a single round-robin tournament from July 2nd to 4th. Games will be played with a time control of 25 minutes per player for the entire game, plus a 10-second increment added after each move. Following the rapid event, a double round-robin blitz tournament will take place on July 5th and 6th, featuring a faster time control of 5 minutes per player with a 2-second increment per move.
This event offers a total prize fund of $175,000, with $40,000 specifically allocated for the winner. Additionally, participants will earn crucial points towards the overall Grand Chess Tour standings.
