UFC Fighter Ian Garry Attempts Hilarious Weight Cut ‘Sabotage’ with M&Ms

Fans were highly entertained after Ian Machado Garry made a comical effort to disrupt his rival`s weight loss preparations.

The Irish fighter is currently serving as the alternate for the bout between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315 this Saturday.

While Della Maddalena is focused on shedding pounds before his potential fight, Garry devised a clever scheme to tempt the Australian away from his strict diet.

He used artificial intelligence to find out Della Maddalena`s favorite treat, which was identified as peanut M&M`s.

In a brilliant move, Garry sent his two-year-old son, Leo, to interrupt one of Della Maddalena`s interviews and present him with a large bag of the colorful candies.

Della Maddalena clearly saw the humor in the situation as young Leo held up the bag and simply said, “Gift for you.”

A smiling Della Maddalena replied, “They look good, thank you. Legend.”

He then shared a high-five with Leo before the toddler ran back to his seemingly proud father.

Fans online found the prank highly amusing, with one commenter stating, “Garry is literally doing everything he can to make sure he doesn`t make weight.”

Another user added, “Leo is such a gentleman.”

A third person commented, “This moment was genuinely wholesome.”

In another lighthearted interaction, Garry also had his son playfully “interview” Belal Muhammad before the event. The UFC welterweight champion humorously remarked that Leo was “the best interviewer he had so far.”

Beyond the comedic antics, Garry also shared his competitive perspective in an interview with Full Send MMA. Regarding Sean Brady, he said: “He`s boring. Nobody truly cares about him.”

“No one genuinely wants to watch him compete. When he fought Leon [Edwards], the arena was half empty. People just aren`t invested in his fights.”

“Ultimately, I am still prepared to take fights on short notice against the most formidable contenders in the division.”

“We will see if that makes a significant difference when it comes to earning a title shot.”
